Production Supervisor

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for Production Shift Supervisor. This candidate will provide management and leadership to a crew to achieve safety, quality and production goals.
The Defiance, Ohio location produces cured and uncured fiberglass products that serve the Automotive, Aerospace, OEM, Air Handling and Pipe & Mechanical markets.
Responsibilities:
o Provide management and leadership to a production shift of 30+ hourly employees to achieve safety, quality and production goals.
o Establish and maintain good working relationships with all employees.
o Plan and schedule work assignments to maximize production equipment.
o Support safety/environmental program to meet established plant initiatives.
o Issue discipline as needed
o Monitor quality activities on newly developed products.
o Continuously looking for improvement in all areas.
o Motivate employees to maintain maximum productivity levels.
o Administration of union contract.
o Preparation of equipment maintenance recommendations.
Requirements:
o High School Diploma or GED.
o 2 + years working in a manufacturing environment.
o 2 years relevant supervisory experience.
o Ability to hold people accountable
o Experience in basic equipment and process troubleshooting
o Experience working with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Ability to communicate with all levels of employees across the organization.
o Ability to be flexible on shift assignment (24/7)
o Ability to drive between plant locations (3 miles)
o Ability to climb stairs and ladders, access confined spaces, respiratory fit, work in hot and cold environments, walk extensive distances and lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
o Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
o College degree preferred AA/AS Degree.
o Experience with SAP/ERP/ADP.
o Experience with planning and scheduling activities.
o Previous experience in managing safety compliance and engagement
o Experience in managing to a union contract/employees and handling grievances.
o Process improvement tools such as Lean /Six Sigma.
o Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
o Proven leadership capabilities.
o Proven experience in creating an effective work team.
o Experience supervising teams of 30 or more people.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
