Facilities Maintenance Technician

OmniSource Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, one of the nation's leading metals recycling companies, is looking for an experienced maintenance technician at our Defiance, Ohio facility. Below is a list of position responsibilities and requirements. Please indicate your shift preference when applying for the position. We are very competitive as a company with compensation and benefits. We are now offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for maintenance employees!
Position
Responsibilities:
1. Welding and fabrication as needed.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mobile and stationary equipment.
4. Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
5. Knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA guidelines.
6. All other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements:
1. Welding, fabrication, and torching experience is a plus
2. Experience operating mobile equipment.
3. Knowledge of conveyors and drives.
4. Basic electrical knowledge.
5. Industrial maintenance experience a plus.
6. Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
