Johns Manville, a Berkshire-Hathaway company is hiring Industrial Electrician(s) at our Defiance, OH complex. We are searching for individuals who are dependable, responsible and quality-minded who have a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment - Must be willing to work any shift (A-12a-8am; B-8am-4pm; C-4pm-12am; D-Swing)

Johns Manville is a manufacturer of premium-quality building and mechanical insulation, commercial roofing, glass fibers and nonwoven materials for commercial, industrial and residential applications. JM products are used in a wide variety of industries including building products, aerospace, automotive and transportation, filtration, commercial interiors, waterproofing and wind energy.

The successful candidate will be:
Proficient in PLC
Able to inspect, assemble, install, and repair all electrical AC and DC circuits, systems, switchgear, motors, and other electrical equipment throughout the plant.
Power distribution systems and other basic electrical / electronic equipment
Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
Plan, prioritize, and complete work in most efficient way while working in accordance with all city, state, and federal electrical codes.
Employees must follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.

Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and use tools continuously as well as frequently reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 100lbs may be required.
Preferred candidates will have troubleshooting experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and AC/DC drives. Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is a plus.
Must be able to tolerate elevated heights and extreme temperatures.
Work requires performing tasks in all weather conditions.
Work requires good hearing, vision, speaking, color vision, and finger dexterity skills as well as the ability to perform close work.
Computer skills and the ability to analyze blueprints, charts, and diagrams are essential.
Electricians must supply basic hand tools.
Respirator and hearing protection required in some areas.
Must be willing to work any shift (A-12a-8am; B-8am-4pm; C-4pm-12am; D-Swing)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
